  2. The colors I associate with number 1 are green and black. Green is a color because of money. I associate black because it makes me think of despair and a black hole we can't get out of financially.

  3. There are many concerns that I face in today's society. One is that the price of higher education is gradually increasing, leaving some at a disadvantage. It is constantly preached that education is the key to success but why is that key so pricy? With the recession, it has become even harder for students to get loans. Not everyone gets a full ride at college. Another concern I have is based on culture. Why are we so ethnocentric? Based on personal observation and experience, it has come to my attention that a lot of people are so unwillinig to accept other cultures. They always feel that their own culture is more superior and dominating. I feel that if we take the time to actually look at the way someone else lives their lives and try to understand it, we would all become more culturally inclined. We would learn to appreciate different cultures more as opposed to judging something that we otherwise would not understand. I also think politicians are hypocrites. They all fight against one thing, yet ironically they or someone in their houshold is practicing it. How do you expect the public to believe when you cannot live up to your own values? When I think about higher education, I think about someone climbing a mountain because it is a struggle to make it to the top. Culture reminds me of food because that is one of the key compontents of a culture. Politics reminds me of the American flag because I think of the fact that it is all about the government. The image that is the most intruging to me is the image of climbing the mountain to get to the top because I see myself doing that on a daily basis. It does not even have to be associated directly with finaicial issues but just overall success in life. I asscoiate the color green with this idea. To me green is symbol of success beause it is the color of money. Another person may associate the same image with blue possibly because if a person is climbing upward, then they are moving closer and closer to the sky which is blue. However, I would talk about things that are green such as the grass in order to get the audience to get the same visual concept that I have.

  4. I have one concern about the economy not getting better for the time I am looking to find myself a job making it very difficult for me to by a house a start a family. Some visual images i have when I think about the economy issues are many homeless people. I think about my mother's business shutting down. My father's business already has been shut down and I wonder if it will ever be able to pick back up again. I can only hope and pray that my family will be able to continue to have a successfully happy life.
